Arkadiusz Lakatosz, known by the nickname 'Hoss', is recognized as the originator of the 'grandchild scam'—a fraudulent scheme where criminals impersonate relatives in urgent need of financial help. He developed this method in the late 1990s and allegedly tested it on his own family before expanding it to target a wider audience. His son, Marcin K., has continued this criminal legacy, furthering the family's involvement in various scams aimed at exploiting vulnerable individuals.
