Armin Smriko

Armin Smriko is a prominent clarinetist with the Sarajevo Philharmonic, known for his passion for music that inspires generations. His musical journey began unexpectedly when he chose the clarinet as a backup option after failing to gain entry with the guitar. Guided by his first teacher, Edin Begović, Smriko developed a deep connection with the clarinet, which became his primary means of artistic expression. He has received several accolades, including third place at a solo competition in Ourense, Spain, in 2019. Smriko's performances, particularly one on Bosnia's Independence Day, hold significant emotional weight for him, symbolizing his growth as a musician. He views his role in the orchestra as a blend of individual artistry and collective harmony, emphasizing the importance of cultural responsibility in today's world.
