Arthur Liebehenschel
Arthur Liebehenschel was a commandant of the Auschwitz concentration camp during World War II. He was involved in the administration of the camp and was later tried for his actions during the Kraków Auschwitz trials in 1947, where he attempted to defend his actions. His notes from this trial were among the controversial documents that an auction house in Germany planned to sell, which drew widespread condemnation and led to the cancellation of the auction.
