Arturo Jurado

Arturo Jurado, a former seminarian of the Legionaries of Christ, was one of the eight signatories of a letter to Pope John Paul II denouncing the systematic abuses committed by Marcial Maciel. Recruited at the age of nine, Jurado experienced firsthand the coercive tactics used by Maciel to exploit young boys. His courage in standing up against such abuses highlights the challenges faced by many in the wake of the scandal surrounding the Legionaries.
