Arwa Hanin Elrayess

Arwa Hanin Elrayess is a philosophy, politics, and economics student at the University of Oxford who made history by becoming the first Palestinian president of the Oxford Union, a prestigious student-run debate society. Elected for the Trinity term 2026, she won a competitive election with a platform focused on enhancing transparency and governance within the Union. In addition to her leadership role, Arwa has been active in social issues, contributing to the documentary 'Heart of a Protest,' which explores pro-Palestine demonstrations in the UK.
