Ashanka Sanjeewa Bandara is a former police constable who has recently been implicated in a major fraud case involving the smuggling of luxury vehicles, allegedly defrauding the government of over 1 billion rupees. He was arrested by the Fraud Investigation Unit and is currently in custody pending further legal proceedings.
