Askat Ashirbekov

Askat Ashirbekov is a prominent Kazakhstani judge, born in 1981 in Karaganda. He graduated from the Karaganda Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs named after Baisanov and holds a candidate of legal sciences degree. With over 17 years of judicial experience, Ashirbekov has served in various capacities, including as a judge in specialized courts and as a judge in the Almaty City Court. Notably, he presided over high-profile cases, including the recent trial of Arman Dzhumageldiev, known as 'Wild Arman', which garnered significant attention in the media. In March 2025, he was appointed the head of the criminal division of the Military Court of the Republic.
