Askat Khasenov

Askat Khasenov is the Chairman of the Board of JSC NC KazMunayGas, Kazakhstan's national oil and gas company. He recently met with Romanian Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu in Bucharest to discuss the strengthening of economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and Romania, particularly in the oil sector. Under his leadership, KazMunayGas has played a significant role in the Romanian energy market through its subsidiary, KMG International N.V. (Rompetrol), which is one of the largest taxpayers and employers in the country. Khasenov emphasized Kazakhstan's commitment to being a reliable partner in energy security amidst challenges in the international energy market.
