Assa Sangaré

Assa Sangaré is the Director of Financial Inclusion and Microfinance at the Central Bank of West African States (BCEAO), where she plays a pivotal role in promoting financial inclusion as a key driver of economic and social development in the UMOA region. During a recent training session for journalists, she highlighted the significant progress in financial inclusion rates, which rose from 41% in 2015 to 76% in 2025, largely due to the proliferation of mobile money services.
