Aswath S is a talented Indian chess player from Tamil Nadu who recently earned the title of Grandmaster, making him the 98th GM in India. He started playing chess at the age of three under the guidance of his father, A.C. Siva, and has shown exceptional promise from a young age. Despite facing challenges such as balancing his chess career with academic commitments, Aswath secured his final GM norm at the Pune International GM Round Robin 2026. He aims to continue advancing in the chess world, setting his sights on achieving a 2600 rating.
