Atanas Romanov

Atanas Romanov was a Macedonian poet and patriot who played a significant role in the resistance against Bulgarian occupation during World War II. His works often highlighted the struggles and aspirations of the Macedonian people. Like his fellow revolutionaries Vapcarov and Popov, Romanov was executed by the Bulgarian regime in 1942, symbolizing the sacrifices made by many in the fight for Macedonian freedom.
