Atisa Dipamkara Srijnana

Atisa Dipamkara Srijnana was an influential Indian Buddhist monk and scholar who played a crucial role in the development of Buddhism in Tibet. He is particularly known for his teachings on the path of enlightenment and compassion. Between 1012 and 1024, Atisa traveled to Sumatra, where he studied under the esteemed teacher Dharmakirti, marking a significant period in his spiritual journey.
