Atosha

Atosha is a 23-year-old Congolese refugee who fled her home in Bafuliiru Chiefdom to escape the escalating violence from the M23 rebel group. During her harrowing journey, she crossed the dangerous Rusizi River, where she lost her younger sisters to the current. Now residing in a stadium in Cibitoke, Burundi, she helps care for other displaced children while expressing her deep desire for peace and resolution to the ongoing conflict.
