
Audun Groenvold
Audun Groenvold was a distinguished Norwegian alpine skier and ski cross athlete, who achieved notable success in international competitions, including winning a bronze medal at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. He began skiing at a young age, competing in his first race at just three years old, and later earned World Cup points in alpine skiing before transitioning to ski cross. Groenvold also secured a bronze medal at the 2005 World Championships and won the overall ski cross cup in 2007. Following his competitive career, he took on coaching roles and served as a TV commentator. Tragically, he was struck by lightning during a cabin trip and passed away at the age of 49, leaving a significant impact on the Norwegian skiing community.
