August Stich

August Stich is the head of the Department of Tropical Medicine and Infectiology at the University Hospital Würzburg. He has been actively involved in research and public health discussions regarding the spread of tropical diseases, particularly those transmitted by mosquitoes, such as the dengue virus. Recently, he has been in the news for raising awareness about the increasing presence of the Asian tiger mosquito in Bavaria, which poses a potential risk for the transmission of dengue fever within Germany.
