Auguste Vaillant

Auguste Vaillant was a French anarchist who gained notoriety for his attempted bombing of the French Chamber of Deputies in December 1893. His attack, which resulted in multiple injuries but no fatalities, was a significant event in the history of political violence in France. Vaillant's actions led to increased scrutiny and repression of anarchist movements, culminating in his execution by guillotine in February 1894.
