Augustus James Ulysses Jaspert, commonly known as Gus Jaspert, served as the Governor of the British Virgin Islands from August 2017 until January 2021. Appointed by Queen Elizabeth II, Jaspert faced unprecedented challenges early in his tenure when Hurricane Irma devastated the islands in September 2017.
