Aurelija Vernickaitė

Aurelija Vernickaitė is a Lithuanian journalist and public relations specialist who served as the spokesperson for the State Security Department of Lithuania (VSD) starting in the summer of 2021. She holds a bachelor's degree in communication and a master's degree in political science from Vilnius University, where she also completed her doctoral dissertation on the informational behavior of parliamentarians. Prior to her role at VSD, Vernickaitė worked with various media outlets such as LNK News, the weekly 'Veidas', and the daily 'Verslo žinios', as well as serving as a press representative for the Constitutional Court and the Minister of Energy. Recently, she announced her departure from VSD to pursue new meaningful opportunities while continuing her service to Lithuania in a different capacity.
