Aurelio Martínez Suazo
Aurelio Martínez Suazo, born on September 25, 1969, in Honduras, was a celebrated cantautor, guitarist, and percussionist known for his contributions to Garífuna music. He was a prominent cultural ambassador for the Garífuna community, both nationally and internationally, and was honored with a special tribute concert in New York in 2015. His album 'DARANDI,' released in January 2017, showcased his dedication to preserving and sharing Garífuna culture through music. Tragically, he was one of the victims in a plane crash off the coast of Roatán, Honduras.
