Austin Molloy is a former Gaelic footballer and soccer player from Galway, Ireland, who gained prominence in the 1960s. He was a standout talent for the St Michael’s GAA club and represented the Galway under-18 team before being banned from GAA matches for playing soccer, a consequence of the GAA's longstanding 'ban on foreign games'. Despite this setback, Molloy went on to achieve significant success in soccer, winning three All-Ireland medals and captaining University College Galway to victory in the prestigious Collingwood Cup.
