Aven

Mikhail Aven is a Russian businessman and former co-owner of Alfa Group, a large financial conglomerate in Russia, which includes Alfa Bank. He has been subject to sanctions imposed by the United States, the European Union, and other countries due to his close ties to the Kremlin and allegations of supporting aggressive actions against Ukraine. Following the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022, Aven relocated to Latvia with his family and has sought to challenge the sanctions placed upon him.
