Avivit John

Avivit John is a 64-year-old Israeli pacifist and a resident of Kibbutz Beeri, a community significantly affected by the Hamas attacks on October 7, 2023. Having returned to Beeri, the place where she was born and where her father was one of the founders, Avivit is among the few who have come back to this area, which has seen a devastating loss of life and ongoing military activity. Despite the trauma and destruction surrounding her, she remains committed to her pacifist beliefs, frequently participating in protests and expressing deep concern for the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. Avivit's resilience reflects her hope for a return to normalcy, even as she navigates the complexities of life in a community still healing from profound violence.
