Ayushman Bharat

Ayushman Bharat, officially known as Ayushman Bharat-PM Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY), is a flagship health insurance scheme launched by the Government of India in 2018. It aims to provide financial protection to economically vulnerable families by offering health coverage of up to ₹5 lakh per family per year for secondary and tertiary care hospitalization. The program is designed to benefit approximately 55 crore individuals across the country, making it one of the largest health insurance schemes globally.
