Ba Shiba

Ba Shiba was a prominent Tibetan Buddhist leader and the fifth patriarch of the Sakya school of Tibetan Buddhism. He is best known for his role as the 'National Teacher' of the Yuan Dynasty under Kublai Khan, where he was instrumental in the integration of Tibetan Buddhism into the governance of the empire. His creation of the 'Ba Shiba script' was significant in promoting Tibetan cultural identity and literacy during the Yuan period.
