Babu Mir

Babu Mir is a former local councilor who gained notoriety for his alleged involvement in a violent incident during the 2018 national elections in Bangladesh, where he was accused of orchestrating an attack on a youth leader from the opposition party, Jubo Dal. Following the attack, which left the youth leader severely injured and ultimately led to his death nearly a year later, there have been claims from local residents that revenge was sought against Mir, resulting in a recent assault on him. Despite the severity of the situation, Mir reportedly showed reluctance to file a police complaint regarding the incident.
