Bakhytzhan Yerzhigitov
Bakhytzhan Yerzhigitov was a 32-year-old major and a board technician in an aviation squadron, who tragically lost his life when the military helicopter EC-145 he was aboard disappeared in July 2025. His body was recovered from Lake Sorbulak on August 9, 2025. Originally from the village of Shaldai, Yerzhigitov served in various locations, advancing from a flight engineer to the rank of major, and was remembered fondly by his community and the regional leadership for his dedication to service.
