Bandula Dilip Witharana

Dr. Bandula Dilip Witharana is a prominent Sri Lankan academic and politician, known for his role as the Chairman of the Sri Lanka Transport Commission. Recently, he made headlines by resigning from his position, submitting his resignation letter to the Ministry of Transport. Witharana has also served as the head of the transport committee of the National People's Power party and is a lecturer at the Open University of Colombo. His departure marks the third resignation of a chairman from a transport-related institution under Minister Bimal Ratnayake's administration.
