Bao Sen, originally named Zhao Bao Sen, was a prominent Chinese resistance hero born in July 1911 in a poor farming family in Pucheng County, Shaanxi. He joined the Communist Party of China in 1932 and became a key figure in the anti-Japanese resistance during the Second Sino-Japanese War. Known for his strategic brilliance and bravery, Bao led numerous successful military operations against Japanese and puppet forces, earning a reputation as a formidable adversary. He was killed in action at the age of 31 while commanding his troops in a fierce battle in Hebei in 1942. His legacy is honored across various memorials in China, where he is remembered for his unwavering commitment to the country and his contributions to its liberation.
