Barbara Hesus Himeno

Barbara Hesus Himeno is the Director of the Directorate General for Neighborhood and Enlargement Negotiations at the European Commission. Recently, she commended Montenegro for demonstrating its readiness to progress in EU accession talks by closing three negotiation chapters. However, she expressed concern over Montenegro's decision to add more countries to its visa-free entry list, indicating that this could jeopardize the closure of Chapter 24 in its EU integration process.
