Barnabas Odhiambo

Barnabas Odhiambo is the Chairperson of the Ringiti Island Beach Management Unit in Homa Bay County, Kenya. Recently, he has been vocal about the escalating tensions between Kenyan fishermen and Ugandan security officers, particularly following the arrest of 24 fishermen for allegedly fishing in Ugandan waters. Odhiambo argues that these fishermen were operating within Kenyan waters and has called for government intervention to address what he describes as arbitrary harassment and a growing pattern of intimidation by Ugandan authorities.
