Basilio Barranco Carpintero is a Panamanian political figure and member of the Partido Revolucionario Democrático (PRD). He serves as the representative for the community of Alto de Jesús in the Ngäbe Buglé comarca. Recently, he was in the news due to allegations that a pickup truck assigned to his community was used to transport demonstrators who engaged in violent protests to block the Interamerican highway near Ojo de Agua, leading to confrontations with law enforcement.
