Basiru Njie

Basiru Njie is the Executive Secretary of the Gambia Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (GCCPU). He has played a pivotal role in the development and validation of the Consumer Protection Bill 2025, which aims to strengthen consumer rights and fair trading practices in The Gambia. Njie has been with the commission since its inception in 2012 and has been a staunch advocate for consumer protection and fair market practices, emphasizing the importance of addressing consumer complaints and regulatory improvements.
