Bassam Hassan

Bassam Hassan is a former high-ranking Syrian general and security adviser under Bashar al-Assad, known for his controversial role in the Syrian civil war, including accusations of facilitating chemical attacks on civilians. Currently residing in Lebanon, he has recently come under scrutiny after allegedly claiming that American journalist Austin Tice was killed on Assad's orders. Hassan has been sanctioned by the US for arms procurement and is wanted by French authorities for his involvement in chemical weapons attacks.
