Bastien Treptel

Bastien Treptel is a former criminal hacker turned cybersecurity expert and entrepreneur. He gained notoriety at the age of 16 for breaching a major Australian bank, accessing sensitive information that ultimately led to his arrest. Following this experience, Treptel shifted his focus from black-hat hacking to cybersecurity, founding CTRL:CYBER, which achieved a valuation of over A$100 million before its sale in 2021. He now leads Ironclad ID, addressing social engineering attacks, while also hosting the popular CyberHacker podcast and serving as a keynote speaker on topics like cybercrime and AI risks.
