Belarus
Belarus is a landlocked country in Eastern Europe known for its strong central government and historical ties to Russia. With a population where women outnumber men, accounting for 53.4% of the total, Belarus faces significant gender inequality issues, particularly in wages, where women earn only 80% of what their male counterparts make for the same work. Despite the higher number of women in the population, the country remains deeply patriarchal, impacting women's roles in society and the workplace.
