Belinda Ayikpa

Belinda Ayikpa is an 18-year-old mother who survived a tragic boat disaster on Volta Lake that claimed the lives of her family members, including her mother, sister, brother, and niece. During the harrowing ordeal, she clung to an overturned boat with her six-month-old son, Xorse Akpatsu, while recounting the bravery of her grandfather, Ezugah Apenuzornya, who helped save them and others from drowning.
