Ben Zion Bernstein
Ben Zion Bernstein was a technician fourth grade in the First Special Service Force during World War II. He was killed in the battle of Monte La Difensa in 1943, and for over 80 years, his grave was marked with a Latin cross despite his Jewish faith, until a recent ceremony corrected this oversight.
