Bengt Friberg

Bengt Friberg is a 79-year-old former elite swimmer from Gothenburg, Sweden, who has been a regular at Valhallabadet since the 1960s. He has swum as much as eight kilometers a day in the facility, which has now fallen into disrepair and is threatened with demolition. Friberg is a vocal advocate for preserving the historic swimming hall, which he views as a vital part of his life and community.
