Benjamin Brière

Benjamin Brière is a French national who gained international attention after being detained in Iran for three years on charges of espionage. His imprisonment, which lasted from May 2020 to May 2023, was marked by harsh conditions and allegations of forced confessions broadcast on state television. Brière's case is emblematic of the growing concerns regarding the treatment of foreign nationals in Iran and the use of such detentions as leverage in diplomatic negotiations.
