Benson Kaaria

Benson Kaaria was a controversial Provincial Commissioner in North Eastern Kenya, known for overseeing the Wagalla massacre in 1984, which resulted in the deaths of hundreds of members from the Degodia clan. He remained unapologetic about his actions throughout his life, justifying the use of brutal tactics under the guise of maintaining order and describing the operation as a success despite the tragic loss of life.
