Berans A. is a 21-year-old Austrian citizen who was sentenced to 15 years in prison for planning a terrorist attack during a Taylor Swift concert at Ernst Happel Stadium in Vienna in August 2024. He was found guilty of attempting to carry out an attack involving knives and homemade explosives against concertgoers, and had ties to members of the terrorist group ISIS, discussing plans for weapons acquisition and bomb-making. Authorities intercepted his plans just before the concert series, leading to the cancellation of three shows for safety reasons.
