An 80-year-old man from Bergen recently fell victim to a scam while attempting to obtain an electronic travel authorization (ETA) for his trip to the United Kingdom. Believing he was on the official British government website, he inadvertently paid around 5,600 Norwegian kroner—20 times the actual cost for the permits. He has since shared his experience to warn others about similar scams targeting Norwegian travelers.
