Bernara Kariyeva

Bernara Kariyeva is a renowned Uzbek ballet dancer and one of the most celebrated artists in the country. Recognized for her exceptional performances in iconic roles such as Odette-Odilia, Giselle, and Anna Karenina at the Alisher Navoi State Academic Grand Theatre, she has left an indelible mark on the world of ballet in Uzbekistan. Kariyeva served as the director of the theatre from 1994 to 2002 and celebrated her 90th birthday this year. Her contributions to the arts have been acknowledged with the prestigious 'Mehnat Shuhrati' order, highlighting her influence and commitment to the cultural landscape of Uzbekistan.
