
Bernard Brochand
Bernard Brochand was a prominent French politician and businessman, known for his tenure as the mayor of Cannes from 2001 to 2014, as well as his long association with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), where he served as president of the club's association. Born in 1936, he played a crucial role in the club's history, notably negotiating the acquisition of PSG by Canal+ in the early 1990s. He was also a deputy for the Alpes-Maritimes and held various positions within the French political landscape, including membership in the RPR, UMP, and LR parties. Brochand passed away on February 25, 2023, at the age of 86.
