Bernardo Soto Alfaro

Bernardo Soto Alfaro was a prominent Costa Rican politician and public servant, best known for his role as the Minister of Development in the late 19th century. He is particularly remembered for his influential decision in 1884 to locate the Alajuela train station near the future Juan Santamaría Park, laying the groundwork for the city’s cultural and social development.
