Bernd Kebbel, a 59-year-old German businessman and philanthropist, was well-known in Namibia for his conservation efforts, particularly in protecting lions. He owned Off-Road Centre, a company specializing in off-road vehicles and safari accessories. Tragically, he was killed by a lion named Charlie while on a luxury safari in the Hoanib Skeleton Coast Camp.
