Bert De Bièvre

Bert De Bièvre is the technical secretary of the Water Protection Fund (Fonag) in Ecuador, a pioneering initiative that has been a global model for water conservation and ecosystem restoration for 25 years. Under his leadership, Fonag has successfully protected over 70,000 hectares of vital watersheds, setting benchmarks for similar projects worldwide and demonstrating the importance of collaborative efforts in addressing water scarcity exacerbated by climate change.
