Berthold Gross

Berthold Gross (1928 – 2018) was a prominent Jewish figure known for his dedication to preserving Jewish heritage in Slovakia. A member of the Jewish Congress in New York, he played a key role in securing funding for the restoration and fencing of the Jewish cemetery in Humenné. His efforts were instrumental in safeguarding this important cultural site, ensuring that the memories of those buried there would not be forgotten.
