Bertina
Bertina is a resilient mother of nine who has been living in a displacement camp in Cabo Delgado, Mozambique, for three years due to ongoing violence and insecurity. Once a successful farmer in her home village of Nangade, where she harvested cashew nuts to sustain her family, Bertina's life changed drastically after an attack forced her to flee, leaving behind her home and livelihood. In the camp, she faces daily hardships, including limited access to food and clean water, as well as the psychological toll of her experiences. Despite these challenges, Bertina, like many others, holds on to the hope of returning to her homeland and rebuilding her life.
