Beth Andrade, who passed away at the age of 75, was a prominent figure in the Carnaval parades of the Mocidade Independente de Padre Miguel during the 1980s and 1990s. As the daughter-in-law of the notorious contraventor Castor de Andrade, she was known for her significant role as a highlight of the school's parades. After the tragic death of her husband, Paulo Roberto de Andrade, in 1998, she withdrew from the Carnaval scene but made occasional returns, such as in 2013 when she participated in a parade honoring Rock in Rio. Beth also played a vital role in the establishment of a samba school for children, contributing to the future of the samba culture.
